AbstractThe automobile industry in Thailand has immensely grown up in the past four years. According to Thailand booming auto market and its potential, Thailand becomes a regional automobile producer center. At current situation, Asian Economic turns down directly effect the Thai automobile industry. Automobile growth rate and sale volumes severely decrease until hit the minimum point in 1998. Thus the changing of external environment directly effected the strategic choice of the automobile company. Thai Daewoo Motor, Chrysler Sales and Service (Thailand) and Honda Car (Thailand) are the cases to study how automobile companies' perception to external environment dynamism, what are the strategic choice before and after economic crisis and how effective of their strategic via market share. In addition two dealers of each companies were selected to reflect how company implement their strategy. The conclusion of the study is Thai automobile industry still be an attractive place for foreign company especially in medium and long term. The companies' perception to external environment dynamism directly influenced to strategic choice and their growth of market share before and after economic crisis.
