Abstract | Since China adopted the reform and opening policy, its economy grew rapidly. Guangzhou as the center of southern part of China has the most flourishing economy. The economic growth rate, foreign trade, investment and economic capacity always rank in the top 3 among all Chinese cities. Twenty years of economic development has formed a better investment environment for Guangzhou to be an international metropolis. Guangzhou also has the excellent geographical situation. Guangzhou is located in the center of China's most economically developed and prosperous belt of cities. The city is near Hong Kong and Macao. Externally, globalization is the major trend in the world. This research proposes a framework for the assessment of these internal factors and external factors affecting Guangzhou to be an international business center. The author tries to analyze the advantages and difficulties facing by the Guangzhou Government to implement this strategy that Guangzhou develop to be an international business center. Finally, recommendation based on the analysis are provided to policy maker. |
