AbstractThe search system is designed based on a faceted pre-coordinate indexing by using the Deep Structure Indexing System and also designed for web documents by including the Dublin Core Metadata to be pa1t of the search system database. Due to the rapid growth in diversity of information, user community, and information volume; it is increasingly difficult to organize the resources precisely. ·There have been several attempts to use many classification schemes, but can not fully serve the purpose of web documents. This work incorporates the advantage of Deep Structure Indexing System to formulate web document's subject headings. It proposes the need for inclusion of such a heading in each web documents and principles and procedure for deriving such headings. Basically the system consists in recognizing four elementary category of concepts (Discipline or Base, Entity or Core, Prope1ty and Action) as well as a concept called Modifier. There are common modifier and special modifiers. Each of the categories Discipline/Base, Entity, Prope1ty and Action can have species (sub-divisions) and pa1ts. Once the subject heading is formed according to the system and are sorted alphabetically it presents an organizing sequence. The same subject heading is used to derive index entries for searching.
