AbstractThe development of information Technology (IT) is booming in the late 20th century. Not only it is utilizing in business and military sectors for gaining benefits and advantages, but IT also is using in schools for improving the education as teaching, learning and scoring. International schools in Thailand also use IT in administration as accounting, human resource management, and inventory monitoring. The great power of IT has bring visible benefit to some of the schools by applying it in the field of information collecting and marketing. The market of international school is steadily f,>Towing in past decade. There are 40 international schools with approximately 15,000 students now in Thailand. Suffering during the economic crisis in 1997, the schools began to treasure financial management and Information Technology for survival and development. This research focuses on Information Technology usage of the international schools in Thailand, study how they are using IT in education and management. The goal is to find out the relationship between the current school operation, IT and Competitive Advantage of the schools. It was found that: "In average, the schools who have email address got higher growth rate in number of student" "In average, the schools who have both email address and internet homepage got highest growth rate in number of student" This conclusion supports that Information Technology is a good tool to the market growth of international schools. In conclusion, the researcher proposed that the bigger and elder schools shall focus on the growth and alliance, the smaller and younger schools should focus on innovation.
