AbstractThe main aim of the project is to design, develop and apply Automatic Wall Painting Robot which is low cost painting equipment. So, this project is to develop an autonomous robot for painting the building walls. This robot consists of a painting arm that ends up with the spray pipe to paint and mobile platform to go to the wall. Then the robot detects the wall with sensor to know direction of wall and distance that have to paint. The painting arm has a painter of two link mechanism with two joints and joints are attached from lower gear DC motor. Also the belt is connected with two links and moving for the whole vertical arm to work. All process are working automatically and for control process, also programed by microcontroller to work step by step till the whole process end. Final part is the spray pipe, head and water pump. The spray pipe is connecting to support the paint flow through and paint will come out from spray head to the wall. For carrying the paint, water pump is used to get the fluid to the area that need. Simple effectiveness, safety, light weight, low cost, the design of this project were taken into account.
