AbstractMANET stands for mobile ad hoc network. It contains mobile nodes. From source to destination there are multiple paths. Routing is the mechanism for finding out the most cost effective way from the place that packets generated to the terminus. Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector can called as AODV. It has characteristics of reactive protocol. Optimized Link State Routing protocol (OLSR) can categorize as proactive protocol. Heterogeneous and homogeneous are different from their transmission ranges. The nodes in heterogeneous network have different transmission ranges but in homogeneous they are same.
