AbstractMaking designs using CAM software’s and prototyping them using CNC machines is widely done today. As my project I was given to make a prototype of a spiral core surface. Many methods can be used to generate the necessary required codes. One of the most common and the general way to generate NC codes is to get the CL coordinates and use inverse kinematics and convert those CL points in to NC code using appropriate equations. Due to lack of knowledge in inverse kinematics gave us another option on inventing a method. In this study a new method was implemented and was used to design the required surface. The basic idea of this method is any spiral curved surface can be acquired using this mat lab generated algorithm which will generate the points and the values will be transferred to a excel sheet using mat lab itself. And the final NC code will be generated In the excel sheet. And this method is effective if the tool is a flat end mill. The surface finish will vary according to the input data give This project was done to the best of our capability and with using innovative ideas to get a good output.
