AbstractIt is a timely necessity to develop intelligent robots to improve productivity and accuracy of production lines. With process automation it has been shifted to a greater level and my approach of this project will enhance the automation lines with great productivity and low cost. Pick and place robot is an essential tool for Industrial applications. Further it enables to do things without human intervention. This project idea will be a solution to this problem through a simple computer vision algorithm. A single web camera is used in this project to identify the object based on color and the pick and place task is performed with a cylindrical robot configuration.DC-motors were used to control all three axis’s of the robot and the feedback was taken was the encoder reading.PID was tuned manually using the Arduino PID library. Some errors due to PID tuning and the error is minimized to reach the specific object, pick it up and place it in the initial position.
