Abstract | Remote controlling is one of the key features of any automation system at present. People tend to search for systems which can be controlled from a distance because remote control ling makes the work easy. The level of mobility required by the user varies according to the application. Home Automation System are very popular in the world at the present and many people would like to have even small parts in their houses. Remote controlling is already available for majority of these systems, but the user has to be closer to the system to control it because the communication medium is Radio Frequency (RF) or Bluetooth or short distance communication mediums. Therefore the level of mobility which the system controller can have is very limited. The main aim of this project is to build a demonstration of a home automation system which controls via internet. By using internet as the medium of communication, the user is enabled to control the system from any place where there is internet. Apart from this an android application is also developed as the key interface to control the devices. The development of mobile application is very important since mobile phone has become the most frequently using device for everyone. Present day mobile phone is capable of every thing and mobile applications are built for everything. So android application is one of the most important sections of this project. The demonstration is done in DC electronics and system has self intensity adjusting lighting system which can be considered as an important part when it comes to energy saving. This project can be considered as a good step to bring in internet and mobile applications to the field of home automation systems. |
