AbstractIn todays distribution network, utilities are experiencing substantial changes. Privatization, strict regulation, industrial plant growth and increasing customer expectations all bring new challenges. And the most important is automation control in network, MiniSCADA (Mini Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is an advanced user-friendly man/machine interface (MMI) and its extremely flexible application engineering tools. The objective of the study is to apply MiniSCADA system to Trung-Hoa-Nhan- Chinh area in Hanoi - Vietnam. By using Programmable Logic Controller software (Simatic S7) and Human Machine Interfaces (WinCC), the control model is build. The study aims at supervisory control and data acquisition, human machine interface, alarm and event monitoring, database management, and data engineering for this network.
