AbstractIn recent time, the newspapers have posted some transportation projects delayed and investment cost increased. These problems caused by many reasons such as inflation, price escalation, site clearance slowly, the capacity of the construction contractor did not meet actual requirements and also has responsible of the consultants involved in the project from the preparation phase until the end of construction phase. In each phase, the consultant kept an important role in the project implementation. The feasibility study consultant had responsible for preparing the feasibility report in which identified project objectives, project scope, feasibility designs, economic efficiency calculations, prepare for the procurement plan, project implementation plan, and the total investment cost. The design consultant implemented detailed design drawings, construction cost estimates, construction implementation schedule, preparing the bidding documents and technical specifications in order to prepare for tendering. The construction supervision consultant has responsible for the construction schedule management, construction supervision to ensure for the project completed on time, reasonable cost and quality assurance. Therefore the consultancy contracts need to be closely monitored and administered by the Client (or the Project Management Unit) to ensure that the consultant's tasks are progressed satisfactorily and the project have been successful completed.
