AbstractInformation system becomes the enabler for most business process reengineering (BPR) projects. At present, system development in BPR project uses the rapid application prototyping (RAP) approach instead of the system development life cycle (SDLC) approach due to its better speed of delivery time. However, the current RAP approach can be modified to decrease the delivery time. The stages for proposed RAP are divided into five phases: conceptual design, physical design, development, transition, and production. The essence of RAP is in the first three phases because there is iteration in each phase and the changes can be made at any time during these three phases. The development phase can be started during detail design task in physical design phase is going on It can ensure faster delivery time. In each task of system development, it needs the participation of users to confirm deliverables from the project team. It helps final deliverables to contain less errors and changes. This study work is presented via the implementation of the real-world case. Reengineering teams of the organization needs to set up the project team to develop the information system, called the customers' order follow up system (COFS), to satisfy customers' needs. The project team employs the proposed model to develop information system. Finally, the first prototype of the system for COFS is developed and meets the BPR team's requirement.
