Abstract | Tourism has become a significant source of income that has contributed and still contributes much to developing countries' economies, social welfare, and cultural patrimony. The hotel industry play an important role in this sector. Cambodia has enjoyed fast growth in tourism and hospitality over the last few years. However, the quality of hotel system in Cambodia still faces serious problems when compared to neighboring countries. Hotel owners wanted to improve the value and quality of their hotel to reach international standards. This study identifies some of the problems of financing regarding to hotel industry development in Cambodia. The experiences of selected hotels in Cambodia are reviewed to draw lessons for government authorities and hotel managers in Cambodia to formulate an appropriate development strategy. |
