Abstract | Since 1991, in Mongolia entrepreneurial activities are growing in all spheres of the country's life as a result of the political changes and economic restructuring into a market economy. There are a few entrepreneurial firms doing business in the software development, computerization, and Internet services in Mongolia. This study is based on qualitative analysis of five software developing and computer service firms in Mongolia. This study have analyzed four factors, namely technological factors, management and organizational factors, marketing related factors, and the external operating environment, which are the influencing the firm's performance in service development, growth and profitability. Organizational management, and marketing related factors are very important factors driving other factors and influence strongly the firm's performance. It was found out that technological infrastructure, especially technology sources, marketing know-how, management style, and access to capital resources are the most critical factors for those technology-based service firms. |
