Abstract | This study examined the factors affecting knowledge sharing among students in a multicultural environment. There are different factors that encourage or hinder knowledge sharing among students in a multicultural environment. The main objective of this research study is to investigate these factors which covered individual, classroom, technological and cultural aspects. There is a research gap in context of the cultural diversity factor and this research try to fill that gap. Data were collected from master and doctoral students of Asian Institute of Technology Thailand. A questionnaire was developed consisting of two sections. The first section gathers demographic information and second section ask questions about factors affecting knowledge sharing. A total of 208 students responded to this survey. Multiple linear regression analysis technique was used to examine the relationship between knowledge sharing and individual, classroom, technological and cultural factors. The results show that motivation and reward have a greater influence on knowledge sharing among students followed by the instructor support, ability to share, willingness to share and cultural diversity. |
