AbstractSince the job description is essentially a communication and an organization tool to enable the incumbent Gob holder) and direct supervisor to better understand their roles and responsibilities and linked to the company's strategic objectives, developing the job design approach to suite the organization needs is crucial. This research aims to develop a resultoriented job design and writing job description approach that meet the organization's objectives. The research also covers the job description implementation phase for the managerial level at Alcatel (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Data were collected by using a questionnaire and supported by follow-up interviews with the managers and their immediate supervisors. Results show that the result-oriented job design approach has to be tailored to the organizational culture and managers' behavior. The research study will look at both organizational environment and job dimension in order to link the company strategic plan and jobs into the job description.
