AbstractThis study presents the development of software package for a design of prestressed concrete member. In prestressed concrete design, it requires complex procedure of trial and error adjustments, which is time-consuming step of design. The Mircrosoft Visual Basic version 5.0 is selected to provide an efficient interaction between user and program that can offer a friendly procedure of input and variable adjustment. The main calculation engine for this program is the finite element analysis program, XFEAP. The step of design in the program follows AASHTO 1994 code that is one of the worldwide use for bridge design. The input and output are displayed in the comprehensive format of table and graphic presentation. Finally, the results of calculation from this program are compared to real construction design project that is Don Muang Tollway Project. The test results show a satisfaction comparison.
