AbstractCNC machining in 5-axis machines is one of the most concerned topics in Manufacturing Systems Engineering. The complex nature of the 5-axis machining process makes it necessary to test the CNC program before real machining is carried out. In this thesis, a verification algorithm is proposed to verify CNC programs off-line as an improvement of an already existing algorithm. The proposed algorithm can test 5-axis CNC programs. To make the verification, the algorithm consists of two parts. The tool cutter is presented by a cylinder. The first pait of the algorithm is based on a space sweep algorithm to find the intersections of the tool with the blank part. The second part of the algorithm is the display method based on the Painter's algoritlun to display the final machined part.
