| Abstract | The integration of IS09000 and ISO 14000 standards is significant to all organizations applying them for without it they may face difficulties in inefficient implementation, misperceptions and confusions about dealing with these standards. The Thai CRT Co., Ltd., a case study company, was in the period of implementation of ISO 14001 based on achievement of IS09002 and needed to efficiently integrate these two systems together. The primary objectives of this study were to carry out the qualitative analysis on the information obtained from the companies achieved both IS09000 and IS014000 and to give suggestions and recommendations for realistically integrating these standards at Thai CRT. The methodology for data collection was started from the study of IS09001 and IS0 14001 requirements and developed more in implementation phase at Thai CRT. Discussion with the management team of Thai CRT about the requirements for improvement was carried out, then 14 targeted companies that certified both standards were selected to be surveyed by questionnaire. Interviews with Quality and Environment Management Representative were undertaken. The results from 12 companies have been summarized, analyzed qualitatively and recommended as an integration plan for Thai CRT, general manufacturers and interested persons as well as the government sectors. |
