AbstractDue to the current economic recession in Thailand, many manufacturers encounter fierce competition. To survive in this current situation, the firms should improve their overall performance and productivity to make them more competitive in the marketplace. This study attempts to investigate inefficient performance of material management activities such as material planning, store and inventory control and then suggests approaches to improve performance in order to increase customer satisfaction. After investigation performance indices shows that production planning is a common cause that makes performance low. An aggregation and disaggregation plan is proposed to solve the problem. Procedure to make an aggregate and disaggregate production plan is setup for the company. Software is developed to reduce the complexity of a production cycle in the disaggregate stage that contains much iteration. The result of this software is a master production plan in terms of length of time depending on input from the aggregation plan.
