| Abstract | The research of this purpose is that to understand the venture capital business in Indonesia using one detailed case study. Second, to analyze the investee companies of Bahana Artha Ventura. Finally, to make specific recommendation to Bahana Artha Ventura based on the findings. The research study was carried out by gathered information through personal interviews with directors and their staff of Bahana Artha Ventura, and one of the owner of investee companies. Besides, the study also relies on company documents, published and unpublished academic literature and business magazmes. The study identifies the financing mechanism through venture capital firms in Indonesia using a case study on Bahana Artha Ventura, state-owned company that look at the business financing pattern, the funding sources, the source of potential deals, the number of applications, screening criteria, capital distribution, criteria of investment, monitoring to assistance, and mechanism divestment. Although, many research presents financing process ways through venture capital but Bahana Artha Ventura has own's ways to financing small and medium business in Indonesia. Analyses of financing mechanism and investee companies and a number of specific recommendations for Bahana Artha Ventura are presented within this study. Finally, the research study identifies some of the remaining issues for which new research is needed. |
