AbstractThe California Bearing Capacity (CBR) is a rating that can be used to describe soil bearing capacity or strength. The CBR value can be change due to soil properties such as density, plasticity index and moisture content. The cone index (CI), cone penetration resistance is also a term of soil strength that can be calculated from cone penetration test. The CI values can also be changing due to soil properties and cone size. Both tests have been conducted by many researchers and concluded dry density directly effects their value to increase as its value increases. The moisture content has a reverse relation with both test such as higher moisture content gives lower value or results for both test. In this research, 3 sand samples were used to carry out both tests under the condition of both carrying out in the same soil in one test. The study focus on the relation between them by using other parameters to connect them.
