Abstract | The aim of making this project is to develop a hand gesture-control based prosthetic hand. The gesture is based on only fingers movements. Resistive flexsensors are used in order to detect the bend of fingers and it is mounted on the glove. This robot has one control system, robot hand. For the controlling, nRF24L01+ transceiver and receiver are used for long range wireless control. However, one major limitation is that they are not meant for locomotion and cannot be used as actual hand since it only shows the gesture of a hand. The study includes speed measurement of the robots hand and experimental results. Therefore, this research proposes the unique way of addressing the gestures and sign languages and make the robot hand more flexible. |
