AbstractTransportation Engineering is a very broad subject and analyzing traffic stream is essential to build different kind of roads. Level of service (LOS) is a qualitative measure used to relate the quality of traffic service. To get the level of service it is must to know the capacity of highway segment. This study follows the method that was given by the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) which is published by Transportation Research Board (TRB). So, this study was carried out to make a way to analyze a traffic stream of multilane high- ways. Researcher try to implement and follow the guidelines given by TRB and use Mi- crosoft Excel to analyze the capacity and level of service (LOS) in multilane highways. This research first calculates the LOS for the given example and then each and every variable that can be increase or decrease by certain percentages were checked and found the influence of that variable to the LOS. Also, most of the parts are coded in Microsoft Excel and it is very easy to any other person to change any variable and see the result of that change.
