AbstractThe objective of this project is to explore the effectiveness of speed humps and to identify the geometric design standards for speed humps in Thailand through conducting case study for speed humps in Thammasat University - Rangsit Campus. The traffic management in Thammasat university has been involving numerous installations of traffic calming gadgets for in numerous locations campus wide. Mostly speed humps have been used for this pur- pose. Speed humps, speed bumps and speed tables have been utilized to diminish vehicular speeding and in addition to increase protection and to decrease variety of accidents of all stakeholders. In this study, two things were investigated. Firstly, different parameters were checked out on speed humps to compare it with the standards for speed humps produced by Australia, America and England. Advantage of this observation is to find the speed hump standards which Thailand has used in construction field. And spot speed tests were per- formed at different locations in the campus in order to find the effectiveness of speed humps.
