AbstractAmong four different categories of yield management solution techniques namely (1) mathematical programming, (2) economics based, (3) threshold curve, and ( 4) expert systems, this research focused on mathematical programming approach. It is well known that mathematical programming approach may produce better results than the popular models currently in use. However, the time and computer resources necessary to solve the problem on a frequent basis have reduced their attractiveness to decision-makers. Thus, if the computational problems can overcome these limitations, it can be applied widely in hospitality industry. The research studied a set of mat~ematical programming simulation and gave out an appropriate model to apply in a real situation of Hanoi hospitality industry - Badinelli's model. Besides, the research also suggested an adapting mathematical model and an applicable software. The revised model was based on assumptions that stemmed from real situation of Hanoi hospitality activities. Research also indicates an abundant of further research in future.
