Abstract | This project is focused on the development of a platform in which the robot plots the input words spoken by a person onto a paper using G Code which is streamed to the microcontroller Arduino UNO board using Matlab programming on a laptop. The Arduino performs the commands based on the principles of Computer Numerical Control. The 2D plotter robot has two-axis (X and Y) control and each of the axis is powered by a single stepper motor. And the robot is installed with a mechanism to raise and lower (in the z-axis) the pen, controlled by a servo. For the task of writing down the words, a Matlab program is developed and it generates G Codes from the input words and then stream the codes to the microcontroller. The microcontroller executes the G codes which is required for writing the text into a readable format by the motor. The efficient and correct arrangement and proper use of the programs along with the circuit make up an efficient Voice Recognition 2D Robotic Plotter. |
