Abstract | Quadcopters have tons of applications. Agriculture, recreational use, aerial videography and photography, emergency situations, military uses etc. Most projected uses are along the same lines - inspection of buildings, equipment, high tension wires, wind turbines, agriculture and much more. These models will use various sensors and special mechanism like robotic arms in addition to standard cameras. Search and rescue and emergency medicine deliveries are also uses being explored. In fact, the potential is virtually limitless - these are not just flying machines, they are aerial robots which can be programmed to accomplish various tasks. This project develops STM32F405VGT6 microchip controlled quadcopter with installed 3DOF robotic arm and gripper which is controlled by Arduino Nano. The main focus of this project is to stabilize the flight control when external load is applied to the drone and perform a smooth delivery. This is manual remote controlled quadcopter and can be further developed into automatic controlled. For stabilizing the quadcopter, PID control algorithm is applied to the program. |
