Abstract | Development of an autonomous self-reconfigurable modular robot combines both control and image processing. In this project the modules were made in a way that it is flexible to change its shape and it has the ability to connect with other similar modules. There are two systems in this project both of them uses image processing. First system uses image processing to recognize the modules and to find the coordinates of them. The second system uses image processing to recognize the modules and the gap and to make sure that the module has crossed the gap successfully. A PID control system is used to ensure that the movement of the modules are reaching the set points. |
