Abstract | Looking towards the future in Industrial Automation systems, the need for smart Robotic Arms will soon emerge. Robotic Arms that can perform a pre-defined set of tasks with the aid of machine vision is a part of this desire. For this Capstone project, an automated 6 DOF Robotic Arm is used for ring stacking that operates using machine vision is designed and implemented. The Robotic Arm is controlled using a comprehensive Graphical User Interface, built in such a way that is user friendly and easy to use, with many useful functions built in to it. The desire to do this project was to build a reliable 6 DOF Robotic Arm capable of performing a predefine set of tasks using the input from camera vision, and to make it compact, miniature and cheap to build without losing the accuracy of the product. |
