AbstractRice is the principle food in most of the regions in the world. Rice production is decreasing due to water scarcity and lack of nutrients available in the soil. This study was focused mainly on those problems and to search more modified ways to overcome those above mentioned problems. Different moisture levels and different silicon concentrations were used to search for optimum moisture and silicon concentrations to have better growth and yield in rice cultivation practices. For this study in different parameters of growth and yield parameters were used. The growth parameters examined were plant height and number of tillers. The yield parameters used were number of grains per panicle, thousand grain weight, total grain weight, harvest index, dry matter and filled grain percentage. In this experiment showed significant effects from moisture content after analysing data. So that results shows that the used rice variety Pathumthani 1 growth and yield parameters shows better results in non-drought conditions than drought conditions. And 75 kg/ha silicon level showed best results in many of the growth and yield parameters. This research can be further enhanced by increasing sample sizes, giving field similar conditions to the experiment and doing more many repetitive studies. This study only focuses on the growth and yield parameters of rice under different water levels ,so this can be further enhanced more to study physical and bio chemical properties.
