AbstractThis capstone project report examines the impacts of the changes of land use and transport factors that affect the residents and commuters in Yangon City. This analysis of this research is categorizing the socio-demographic information and perceptions of Yangon people into six groups (Age, Income, Education, Occupation, Car ownership, and Residence location) and performing the analysis by using IBM SPSS statistic version 23. As the land use and transportation impacts depend and relate each other, the questionnaire is organized both of the land use and transportation factors. Experiencing the very faster population and vehicle ownership in Yangon like the other developing countries, the perceptions of the people upon the changes of land use and transportation were interesting to be investigated. Though, the results of the findings were good enough for the changes upon land use, the outcomes of the transportation were worse than before the political changes taken place. The satisfaction in bus and rail services were pointed as some public services like cleanliness and comfort were needed to improve more.
