AbstractThis paper introduces the analysis of the rocking wall with the use of rotational spring as energy dissipater. Compression Free Device (CFD) for hybrid wall systems had been tested in a laboratory by master student May Thazin Khine. The CFD is a device that has a steel core and a earn-grip, the steel core plate is locked by the earn-grip when the device is under tension but it let it go when the device is under compression which give the steel core plate to slide. By transferred the data which had been successfully tested in Lab, the modelling and analysis of the rocking wall with rotational spring as energy dissipater had been done with the software SAP2000. The modelling done using the wall shell elements as two dimensional simple finite element. The analysis were performed with the series of non-linear time history analyses. One tendon was used in the rocking wall and rotational spring at the base of the wall. Furthermore, the rocking wall with rotational spring will be modelling and analysis in the three stories building using SAP2000.
