Abstract | Swelling pressure is defined as the pressure required to keep the constant volume of swelled specimen. Three methods can be determined the swelling pressure such as free swell, swell- consolidation and constant volume test. In this capstone project, constant volume method is applied to find swelling pressure. The research has studied by changing water content and density. Two different type of soil is using. The study focus on determining of swelling pressure increase or not when water content and density vary. |
