AbstractAs Myanmar is an earthquake prone country, it is important to have seismic considerations for the buildings in the country, especially in rural areas. The thing is that Myanmar construction engineers build the buildings without having seismic code provisions and seismic design requirements. So, it is important to have special seismic considerations for non-engineered buildings in Myanmar. This study highlights equivalent static force analysis, response spectrum analysis and time history analysis on a building in tarlay, Myanmar. By comparing the results of story drifts, story displacements and story shear forces from the building, it can be seen that which analysis the building was vulnerable to. Based on MNBC, the input data for equivalent and response spectrum ca be defined.
