AbstractThe use of automation in the field of circuit production has been developed to considerable length. However there is always room for improvement and development. Accuracy and precision are the main focus in this field. This report will present a development of an automated soldering system where the soldering points are obtained though the schematic and through a sample board image. The points are then processed and mapped after which they are soldered. Key features are the extraction of soldering points, mapping of soldering point to real world coordinates, plotting using a gantry system and the development of an automated soldering and feeding system.
