Abstract | The advancement of artificial intelligence in all fields and its combination with the fields of mechanical and electronic engineering has led to the development of many interesting robots especially in the field of sports. This report will present a robotic solution to the game of pool where a machine will attempt to perform the complex functions of a human playing the game. The key features of this project will be object detection and image processing, physical modeling and the control and movement of a suitable end effector to the correct position to execute the shot. Key features are the use of machine vision, plotting system using stepper motors and the use of a solenoid in performing the task. |
