Abstract | The use of HEC-HMS (Hydrological Engineering Center, Hydrological Modeling System) is not very commonly used applied in Bhutan. This paper attempts to present the simulation of river discharge for the Wangchu river basin in Bhutan using HEC-HMS. The DEM (Digital Elevation Model) resolution of 90 x 90 meters was obtained from the National Land Commission Secretariat of Bhutan. The watershed delineation, DEM recon- ditioning, terrain processing and basin model were processed using ArcHydro and HEC- HMS. The observed meteorological data obtained from the DoHS, MOEA, Bhutan was used to calibrate and validate the model. |
