AbstractMany Myanmar Construction Companies do not have systematic cost control system in nowadays. However, due to the need for profit making, all the companies try to fix the cost control practice as much as they can. This study tends to study the existing cost con- trol practices in Myanmar construction companies, to analyze the important factors of cost control process and to provide the recommendation for improvement in order to improve cost control practices in Myanmar Construction Companies. This study is used case study method (ongoing project) for methodology and collects cost control data for labors, materi- als and subcontractors. After collecting required cost control data for ongoing project, how the company controls costs individually for labors, materials and subcontractors is finally applied as a data analysis. Recommendations for improvement focused on factors with the practices of cost control for labors, materials and subcontractors.
