AbstractDevelopment of badminton playing robots is a research area which combines with lots of field of studies such as kinematics, dynamics and etc. The main part of this project is to determine the shuttles trajectory by using digital image processing. Once, the shuttles coor dinates identified it will judge its dropping position inside the coordinate by using trajectory equations. All these functions are written in a C++ application which have the capability to communicates with the Arduino. Arduino drives the mecanum wheels of the robot by two controlling loops, position con trol (PD controller) and velocity control (P controller) which will direct the robot to correct position. This project can able to do tasks which are essential to badminton practicing player. Java user application also there for practicing purposes which can control the shuttle feeding time and servicing position.
