| Abstract | Fossil fuels are of great importance because they can be burned producing significant amounts
of energy per unit weight. Fuels are used for different purposes. The main focus of this research
to review the gasoline or petrol tax of various countries, then identify the components
include in gasoline tax such as sales tax, VAT (Value added tax), GST (Goods and service
tax), excise tax and other taxes. Gasoline price varies from country to country because gasoline
tax is calculated depending on policies of the respective country. Fuel tax counts as
an inland revenue. This report shows which countries have high tax of gasoline and higher
gasoline price. For the study 100 countries were taken. This research develops a data base of
pre-taxed price, excise tax rate, total tax rate and total price of selected 100 countries. Data
included is collected from various publishers via internet from end of 2016 to early months
2017. The study will provide you information of lower fuel tax countries, higher fuel tax
countries also the middle range countries. The study will provide information about the
gasoline prices which were taken on March 6th, 2017 are under above mentioned categories. |
