AbstractStudies on activity and travel behaviors often concentrate on sample from developed coun- tries. As it is understood that the characteristics of developing countries differ from devel- oped countries, university students are chosen as a suitable group to start studying activity and travel behavior in the context of a developing country. This study attempts to examine different patterns of activities and travels based on socio-demographic factors of students and to explore activities and travels of university students on weekdays and weekends by considering data from two public and two private universities in Bangkok city. Statistical comparisons of characteristics suggest various interesting different trends between type of university and type of day whereas similarity in activity and travel behavior was often ob- served between genders. Moreover, model estimations using Ordinal Logistic Regression signal significant relationship between travel frequency and activity behavior.
