AbstractRailway engineering standards are widely spread over different countries according to their technologies and methodologies. This research was carried out to develop a database about railway engineering standards related to civil works and maintenance to bring those standard to one particular place. A matrix has prepared concerning standards related to civil works and maintenance to provide accessibility for the reader via Microsoft Excel. The matrix con- tains standards in six different countries; Europe, Japan, Australia, USA, China and Korea. Furthermore, this matrix defines about the key characteristics and provides summary doc- uments related each standard. This research is more suitable for railway engineers, policy makers and manufacturers.
