Abstract | For long the roads of humanity and computers saw parallel to each other, now is the time it intersects and see as a crossroad to the future with artificial intelligence and machine learning in natural language processing. We explore how machine translations performs in various language structure and asses its performance with observations and a case of simple mathematics. As it is well known, artificial intelligence is neither perfect but it is not far off from replacing job we humans hold dear too. With two of the world’s largest technology companies, Google and Microsoft, going shoulder to should against each other in the race of artificial intelligence, we see how machine translation have evolved over time and the case point in modern society as to how well does Google Translate and Bing Translator keep up with each other. We investigate translation performances on children stories, well known literatures and every day news articles and apply a mathematical model to evaluate the relevancy of the translation machine. Finally, we end the research with the findings from the experiments and observe as to why some results differ and some unexpectedly surprise us. |
