Abstract | Trains are currently a major transportation service which is available all around the world. A high speed rail service is a competition to the other transportation methods which is now performing to give the best services to the passengers. Asian, European countries are leading with the high speed trains in operation which combines all possible features to be the best in the world train market. High speed train performance depends on its specifications and features. The countries us- ing high speed trains can be categorized as Asian countries, European countries and other countries. Each country uses its model names for their high speed trains. Most populated countries are tend to use more high speed trains and new models have been introduced with speeds over 400 kilometers per hour.Asian countries are tend to focus on competitive speeds and comfort ability of users while European countries have been more focused on power efficiency and economical aspects. This research has been done by comparing the various high speed train model specifications in different countries which are currently in operation. The comparison between high speed train models in each country and the comparison be- tween the chosen best model in different specifications from each country leads to obtain the best high speed train model in terms of passenger comfort, speed and power efficiency. This project concludes by obtaining the best train models that are currently in operation in different specifications. |
