Abstract | This capstone project was a study of solar-panel cleaning robot and a new mechanism. The project concerns one many disciplines such as, a robot clean the solar panel without water, less in weight, not complex mechanism and understandable by everyone, easy to trouble shoot, smart sensing, and new mechanism. This topic was chosen because solar energy is becoming the most using energy in everywhere and cheap in price also unlimited source in this world. To get the efficient solar power from the solar panel the panel should clean all the time, to get the power the robot need to clan the solar panel when it needed. There are various kind of robots in the market to clean the solar panel. The challenge faced in the project was to create the simple mechanism and the dust sensing. There are dust sensors in the market but they are used to sense the dust in the air not to sense dust on the plan, there are not such sensor to sense the dust. So it was a big challenge to overcome in this project. This project has fulfilled the scopes and which is useable in the sites with using the PLC. |
