AbstractWith the development of technology in various fields and with application of wide variety of mechanical and electronic systems, vivid robots are being constructed lately. This report presents a robotic system that has the ability to place a game of checkers against a human opponent, this is an entertainment robot that could be used when an opponent is not available. The main features of this project is detecting the position of each checker piece, identifying all the possible moves and then moving the checker piece accordingly to the best selected position. To carry out this task, reed sensors are being used to detect the position of the checker piece and an electromagnet connected to an plotting system robot is used to move the checker pieces.
