AbstractProportional integral derivative controller (PID) is an essential tool under control and au- tomation field. This project is about position controlling of a ball on a touch screen using PID controller. This project is well popular as the ball and the plate system. This is the two DoF of the ball and the beam system. The basic and main purpose of this project is to balance and control the position of the according to the given position. The main purpose of this project is to learn to get data from sensor output and control the actuators according to sensor readings. The main objective is to develop a mechanism to control the position of the ball. There are various types of mechanisms.Two types of sensors are used for locating the ball. Mainly camera and the touch screen are used for sensing the ball. All these mechanisms and other objectives are described in this report. And there are various problems which are encountered during this project. Those are also discussed under the results and discussion and in the conclusion.
