AbstractAs the large scale projects usually involve many complicated activities, the effective schedule planning and control system is one of the most crucial subjects for the project accomplishment. The case study of large scale project, Pah-Sak Dam project, was conducted to examine effectiveness of its existing schedule planning and control system. Data from three management levels (i.e., executive, project, and field) was gathered through personal interviews and the related documents. Results demonstrate: (a) Effectiveness of schedule planning and control process, (b) information organization and routing (i.e., procedure of schedule and cost reporting, suitability of the rep01t contents for each management level), and (c) effectiveness of scheduling techniques (i.e. tools and software). The recommendations focusing on the system improvement are also presented.
