AbstractDevelopment of soccer robots has been a widely-spoken research area, after the initiation of the RoboCup in 1997. Out of the different game forms in RoboCup, MSL was considered as one of the main forms, as the robots played soccer using a real soccer ball, and the speeds were up to the level. This project was focused on developing two MSL soccer robots, with few limitations com- pared to the RoboCup real MSL soccer. The main limitation was that the robots were devel- oped to play only the forward position in soccer. The robots built in this project were initially planned to have a reduced weight and a size of the normal MSL cup, which was successfully achieved at the end of the project. The two robots built used vision through image processing to gain inputs and the whole system was mechanized using electrical actuators. Each robot used two controllers in each, which were running in parallel in order to obtain better results. The robots included a wireless communication system to take decisions cooperatively, where mechanisms for ball handling and shooting were implemented.
